We're talking about the cubicles in her office, and she mentioned the changes of the height (?) of the partitions.
Me: Um, mama, what is partition actually?
Mama: Oh, partition, it means 牆.
Me: Uh, ok.
Later in the day and the day after, I just keep thinking about thispartition = 牆 explanation (or definition?).
It's kind of CONFUSING me.
I mean, WHY haven't I come to this word before when I learnt the word "WALL"?
And I couldn't help myself staring at the walls in my room.
Finally, about 36 hours later, I looked it up in Google Dictionary.
Mama, maybe next time you should explain the meaning of words in English.
Though me and Papa DO love your inaccurate and imprecise Chinese.

Last week I got an email from Papa, saying that he got himself a new cell phone, because the last one went swimming.
My reply was when I came back home, I should teach mine swimming as well.
This week when we're on the phone, we talked about this idea again.
Papa: No, that's too troublesome.
Me: But I want a NEW PHONE!
Papa: You simply, just, leave your phone in Melb, and we can get a new one.
Me: Papa, that's just BRILLIANT.
**laughs**
Obviously me and him both love spending money, and getting new phones or DC or other electronics.
Yup, the ONLY obstacle is the amazing Mama. =P
